About Smart Precast

At Smart Precast we pride ourselves in providing Canterbury and the greater South Island with quality concrete products. With our large range of landscaping paving slabs, drainage silt traps, rural water troughs and specialist capabilities - Smart Precast can cater to both the landscaper, roading, drainage and irrigation professionals as well as the residential and rural DIYer.

Smart Precast has been operating for over twenty years now. In November 2003 the business was purchased by Mr. Jody Withell and Nigel Gavin. Since then the product range and production capability has been extensively increased resulting in a rapidly expanding client base throughout the South Island.

Smart Precast is located within the Ashby Ready-mix Concrete Yard in Greywacke Road, Harewood, Christchurch. Greywacke Road is sandwiched in between the Mc Vicar Timber Mill and Smith Crane and Construction - both located directly opposite the Harewood Crematorium in Johns Road. It is well worth the effort to drop in and view the extensive range of paver colours, sizing and textures. The manufacturing on site allows Smart Precast daily access to the Ashby Plants Certified concrete for production of both high quality and durable product items.

Smart Precast has a production team of ten staff with two sales staff – Mr. Wayne Slade being the dedicated office and sales manager on site. Together the team has the expertise to provide the necessary knowledge, technical information, sound advice and service that you need.
